2019 is proving to be a classic Washington State vintage, with wines that are showing a lot of balance and restraint that will only become more complex and improve with time. This is a big bold red, a fabulous expression of Cabernet Sauvignon, and with great critical acclaim over in the USA, we don't think this outstanding wine will disappoint - whether you uncork it now or in 10 years time.
Tasting Notes
Dark blackberry, cassis, cinnamon, cedar, touch of dried tobacco, vanilla, and chicory. Rich on the palate, nice balanced acid with elegant structure. Lengthy finish with flavours of dark berries, cocoa, cinnamon, and a hint of mixed dried herbs.
Food pairing
Goes great with a well-marbled ribeye steak – the chalky tannins cut through all that tender fatty goodness. Also great with rich vegetarian dishes featuring portobello mushrooms and strong cheeses.
