This is a British classic. Light and bubbly, quintessentially English.
A great example of a classic English Sparkling Wine. If you enjoy a non-vintage Champagne, then this is the sparkling wine for you. Chapel Down Brut NV is an elegant blend of four classic grape varieties.
An elegant English sparkling wine with aromas of red apple, lemongrass and freshly baked bread together with hints of strawberry and quince on the palate and fine persistent bubbles.
Chapel Down Brut is ideal as an aperitif or a perfect pairing with fish and sushi.
About the winemaker:
Chapel Down is one of England's best known winemakers, and produce world-class sparkling wines. Vineyards across the South of England, watch out for some exciting things from them on the sustainability front coming soon too!
After hand harvesting, the fruit undergoes cool fermentation followed by full malolactic fermentation. The wine then matures on its fine lees in tank for six months. Once bottled, the wine is then aged on its lees for approximately 18 months.
Sustainability credentials: Making good progress (1*)
Part of the UK sustainable wines movement, Chapel Down is making good progress in terms of waste, water consumption and chemical use, and striving to improve further, considering their soil health, biodiversity and landscape ecology more widely.
