Fewer than 3000 bottles are produced per year of this Washington State Red Mountain AVA Syrah. Syrah is winemaker Sarah Goedhart's favourite grape to work with and the passion comes through in this luscious red, made in the old world Rhone style. We've managed to pick up a handful of cases, and are proud to be the first to introduce this exceptional wine to the UK.
Tasting Notes
Rich with tart fruit, coffee, vanilla, rose petal, dried herbs and a touch of tar and orange peel on the nose. A creamy fruit flavour with a kick of spice on the balanced deliciously long finish.
Food pairing
The Syrah grape variety is native to the Rhone valley in France, and it creates irresistible medium and full-bodied wines with bright acidity, fruity notes, and spicy black pepper hints. This versatile flavour profile makes it easy to pair the wine with a wide range of cuisines. Bel'Villa is made in the Rhone style and will pair well with braised or grilled meat, beef steak and short ribs, fatty lamb belly, or venison.

Hedges Family Estate is an authentic family business, run by some seriously good people, making some seriously good wine, based in the Columbia Valley in Washington State, USA.
